G30 SF tec driver

Ok then.

took the G30 to the Belfry yeasterday and after 9hole with 3 wood off the tee, i went a bit left into some semi rough and played a provisional off the tee with the driver spanked one right down the middle.
Didnt miss a fairway the rest of the day with it long and straight.

i think that playing with 3w slowed my swing down.

Afternoon all, I have just last week picked up a standard G30 9 degree with the chrome look stiff shaft. 65gram.
My old driver was a callaway razr fit xtreme. Loved the driver but being a 430 head it was almost an all or nothing driver. Would hit a lovely high soft draw 7/10 when swinging well. On a bad day would be hooks or low runners. However that was my bad swing not the club. After 2 years I thought I'd try out something new and forgiving.
many reviews later I did something I've not done before a bought a club blind.
My first 3 round with it were not great. My golf was good but my driving was not. I consistently high high fades, not a big issue but after hitting a draw for so long my line was always putting me into trouble. The feeling from the club was that the head was so light I felt like I had to put a lot more power into my swing, resulting in the fade and I also felt like I was losing distance.
Today I went out and was swinging the clubs well, when the time to hit driver came, I hit a lovely high shot down the middle.
maybe a lucky one I thought, face felt more positive than before and from then on I hit my usual shot shape and didn't miss a fairway with it. I'd say it on a par for distance with my old driver now I'm slowly getting used to the lightness of the head/shaft combo but the main factor is it goes exactly where I aim it. Sounds obvious but it feels as accurate as a green side chip.
I just hope the form continues in the next round. Sorry for the loooooong post.
I'd say to anyone who has only hit a few shots with it to stick with it and give it a fair try. I doesn't feel hot off the face but I can't argue with the results it's provided today.
