G15 vs R9 SuperTri

I had a waggle with an R9 today, felt quite nice. Having had my G15 9def stiff for a year and a bit now, am wondering if the R9 would be any nicer. I am hitting a pretty good long ball with the Ping so dont want to easily give it up, I do hit a very high ball though.
Anyone used both and care to comment?
I can get the R9 new for well under £100 so am wondering if it would be up to the task and whether the shaft would suit me more.
I was thinking of getting a slightly more luxurious shaft in the ping anyway but wonder if the TM would be the better candidate, starting to feel tempted now....ARGHHH.

go for it brendy, nowt to lose cos if the price is tres cheap then you can sell on for next to no loss if any!!!

shaft going to me more important than the clubhead for me, neither clubs really appeal to my eye but all about the shaft at the end of the day

I have enough in my club account (club is £89 with a choice of a few new ones, and woods too) so am definately tempted. The stiff shaft does feel a little whippy compared to the Ping, but might be my imagination.

I could there are a couple there and a few 3 woods for 79. he seems to be making way for more R11 gear. I'll take a snap of the clubs tomorrow when Im round. Iirc there are regular and stiff left. Will confirm tomorrow.
