Free round at Formby Hall - Britain's Best Putter

I'll be there just before 9.30 as I have to drop my son at Nursery on the way. Looking forward to it, just hope the weather is ok!

Anyone recognise these names. These are people through based on scores obtained and now go through to the matchplay knock-out rounds.

This was the scene at Formby Hall. What's with the derelict buildings?

And, these are the 4 lucky winners of the knock-out through to the Belfry, anyone recognise any?

I was there today, dont think any of the winners were forum wildcards. It was a good day ou though, interesting putting course then knockout stages.

Lunch then round of Golf on the Old Course, decent course but weather made it difficult at times!

The derelict house is adjacent to the putting green and Par 3 course, could possibly be in the process of being done up as a further clubhouse for the Par 3 course.

If you get chance for a round at Formby Hall I would recommend it

It is I at the top. Unfortunately never got through to Belfry, but had a good day.

What I would say that its a shame that the title BBP is actually OdysseyBBP. A great sponsor with nice kit, nothing as short as my current stick so a bit hard to get used to as part of one hand was on the shaft of the putter.

Must say the course is great, I only played the front 9 so I could skip the traffic, but played to a respectable 21 points (8 over). 4 Pars so very happy with my golf today. The wind and rain made some holes quite tricky but a great challenge. The bunker even though deep where nice to play out of, and the green ran very true.

I hope to go back in the near future for a knock in better weather.

Thanks for the opportunity, and well done to the winners.

Maybe next year Odyssey might stretch to a putter fitting and putter for each regional competitor ;)

Had a smashing day today. Thanks very much to the lads who put it on: odessy and The Golf Monthly boys it was boss. Thanks again.

Thanks to Paul OHagan and the rest of GM/Callaway/Odyssey for looking after us yesterday, a cracking day although the weather was crap!

It was good to put put a few faces to names to a few off here too.

Had a great time yesterday, big thanks to GM & Odyssey! Nice track as well. Pity I played complete pants on the front 9 but I did manage to make it more respectable on the back!

I suspect it was me you played with then ;-) - between us we would have had a respectable score, I had a reasonable front nine and then decided to explore the trees and water on the back nine

I think you're suspicions were correct, lot easier once we'd played through 4 ball in front and had a clear run.
