Fragger Beats Imurg Shock

After several months of very average play,(by average i mean 28 points) Im pleased to report that Imurg got wallopped 40 - 32 in todays clash of the beer guts.

23 off the first 9 to Imurgs 14, then 17 off the back 9 to Imurgs 18.

To be fair Imurg parred 7 of the last 9, and got a good birdie. but his driving was well off today.

My score was 91 my best ever and that included 2 7's and an 8. so could have been much better.

I think that in recent months I have been trying to hit it too hard and not letting the club do its job.

Put the card in under general play, may get a 1.6 cut if they accept it.

To be honest I couldn't live with him today. 23 on the front and I'm 9 behind at the turn. My driving was the abysmal side of shocking. Absolute garbage. And to come away with 32 points after a driving display that resembled that of a 36 handicapper I'm actually quite pleased.
A run of 6 pars after the turn helped a bit but then I lost a ball on the drive at 16. It went into a small patch of rough about ankle deep and the size of a living room. The chances of not finding it were non-existent. Could we find it? No. Totally racked off after that.
But the rest of my game was pretty good - just got to sort the driving and with the help of Uncle Bob I might be getting there.

If I'd been able to get the ball off the tee I'd have had him!!

Bro, You had no problems getting the ball off the tee, its where they went afterwards, that slice is worse than mine.

The classic was the par 5 7th, great big slice then a vicious 90 degree right kick into the rough, Murg was not impressed.
