Seriously.......you have to ask????

Sunningdale is a proper golf course, Foxhills is a corporate average set up. Are you looking for a good course or to entertain clients?

errr, yes i do Dave. Ive not played either so have no knowledge of what is the better course? I know opinions will be divided but value the thoughts of those that have played the courses.

Fair enough. Look at the top 100 rankings then. Start at the top, you'll find Sunningdale Old around 12th from memory......then keeping going down........and down........and down.........till you get to the bottom. Then go to the 'next 100' and keep looking down.......and down......then stop looking as Foxhills isn't on that either.

Sunningdale every time mate

I have played Foxhills this year, I won't be going back. I have not played Sunningdale but I really want too, and I am certain that when I do I will want to return.

I stayed overnight and played both courses at Foxhills just a couple of weeks ago.

I'd rate it as the best stay and play venue ive experienced in England. One fantastic course (Longcross) which is a clone of the Marquess Course at Woburn but at a fraction of the price, plus another decent second course (Bernard Hunt).

Great hotel rooms, and excellent cuisine.

I thought it was great, as did the other 8 lads in our party.

I would be surprised if opinions were divided over this!

If you are looking to include accomodation and play over 2 or more days then aspects of Foxhills may appeal - golf course(s) wise there's simply no comparison.

No brainier. Sunningdale. Not much in it but the sausage sandwich at the halfway hit would do it for me 😂😂

I think the answer depends on what you're looking for and what your needs are. Care to clarify so we can offer better replies?
Purely comparing course to course S'dale is way way better than Foxhills.

Thanks everyone. The kitkats on silver tray sold it for me! Just looking to organise a very exclusive corporate golf day hopefully wentworth and it looks like sunnningdale!

If you're looking for very exclusive the top 100 courses uk guide is a good start. If it's not in that then it's prob not what you're looking for. I'd recommend the Grove, the hotel is pretty decent and the food is good.

Interesting shout for The Grove.... very corporate,. will have lots of staff running around,. hotel on site, interesting course - close to Motorways. Expensive!

Sunningdale. Old School Club. Wonderful place. 2 excellent courses.

Golf only, the latter. No one will mind a day at the Grove though

Forget Foxhills for that sort of thing then! Great for stay/play though!

Why not simply do both courses at Sunningdale? Or Wentworth, where ET probably has some 'credit'? Time wise, it could be a struggle/rush, even though the 2 venues are pretty close!

@Autumn Wind...I think Foxhills got there ahead of the Marquess - by almost a quarter of a century! Bernard Hunt (previously Chertsey) is actually the tougher course, though Longcross is more 'unique' because of it being so tightly tree, bracken and rhododendrum lined, something that has been reduced from earlier days - to help drainage and speed of play!
