Four man team .

Ok get this.

The guy who marked the card put every score in for all four players .
In doing this he generated four gross scores when he inputted them to IG.

I had a differential of 9.7 with 17 scores and a blob ,so the system has cut me by point two. I’m happy with that.

Firstly the course was sopping wet and most would have expected the tees to be turned off for Q cards ???
The greens were so wet I putted with my 7 iron a few times as no relief was avaliable.

Edit, because we were being held up on most shots we did putt out on most holes .!
Whoever put the scores in has completely messed it up. They have seemingly entered the score as GP.
They should simply be deleted.

The software should not allow this surley.

It’s on the website as a four man team.
Results are published.
So how would he know the difference.

Obviously the committee or whoever set the comp up has made a mistake otherwise this would happen all the time all over the country and in my experience goes this is certainly not the case.

As everyone has pointed out this format is clearly not acceptable and the committee needs to be advised asap to delete all these scores in WHS,

Two inches of water on some greens should be though.
It’s why I was putting with 7 iron.

Little bit intrigued by that, are you aware of

If there is no such nearest point of complete relief, the player may still take this free relief by using the point of maximum available relief as the reference point, which must be either on the putting green or in the general area.

Just been informed that this wasn’t yesterday’s score. My apologies!

My fault I didn’t check the dates properly.
I have been given a penalty score on the 17th .
That’s even worse as I havnt played for two weeks due to my wrist.
I have never put a GP score in so can’t explain it

Yes but dropping off the green atm is not advised.
It shouldn’t have been open but was a financial decision and not protecting the course.

I'm getting confused. Are you still querying your handicap reduction as per post #1?

Yes but dropping off the green atm is not advised.
When taking relief from an abnormal course condition, when the original spot of the ball is on the putting green, the ball is placed, not dropped, including when the nearest point of complete relief or point of maximum available relief is in the general area.

No .
I have not played for two weeks I just assumed the cut was from yesterday.
My bad not checking the dates properly.

I have a penalty score recorded on my handicap list from the 17 th of this month.
How that happened I don’t know.🤷‍♂️
I didn’t play last Saturday and not been to the club all week.

Edit : how can a penalty score of net 71 from a Phanthom round I never played be the best score I have had all year.?
I have been struggling to break 84/86 all year because of a wrist injury.!

It’s just some sort of admin error.
Your Handicap Committee can delete it in under a minute and should be able to clear up any mystery behind it swiftly.
If you did not make a score intent that day, it needs to be removed asap.
