Played in a 9:6:3 four man team yesterday
We played ok but only had 93 pts ,winners 109.

Got up this morning and my handicap has gone down from 11.1 to 10.9.
Is this correct in this format .
Off yellows, Pl cut areas.

Did you return your score as General Play?

I can’t see how a competition could be set up as an Acceptable Score in any four man format. The only team game that can be used is 4BBB, and then there are several conditions to be met before they count to your handicap.

Yes that’s what I thought.

I never had a gross score on front or back nine as it was two best scores on front nine.
Three best on 10 to 15th
Then all score on last three.

How the system can generate an acceptable score from that is a bit baffling.
I suspect human error but we finished about 16th so wasn’t expecting a cut .

I find it intriguing. Will you be following it up with competition organisers? I’d like to know how it came about.

I will email them.
I have played so poorly this year though the small cut is quite welcome.😂

We will probably get notified that someone’s ballsed it up and they will rectify it.
But still can’t see how they have done this.

Ok get this.

The guy who marked the card put every score in for all four players .
In doing this he generated four gross scores when he inputted them to IG.

I had a differential of 9.7 with 17 scores and a blob ,so the system has cut me by point two. I’m happy with that.

Firstly the course was sopping wet and most would have expected the tees to be turned off for Q cards ???
The greens were so wet I putted with my 7 iron a few times as no relief was avaliable.

Edit, because we were being held up on most shots we did putt out on most holes .!

I think you mentioned that your club uses IG, I’m not familiar with it but for your scores to go into EG database, in principle it must have been set up as an individual stroke play format and selected as Acceptable. It’s not the fault of the WHS , it’s down to the competition organisers and their interaction with the ISP.

That’s what it seems like to me

Irrespective of the other failings by the committee with regard to this competition, a wet course is not a reason for making it NQ.

I never put the card in .
It’s on the IG results list and we can see all players scores.
So it’s set up as a team game.
The marker put all scores in after the round.

Surley if your putting an individual score for handicap purposes you should have control of that by registering it.

Your score in a four man team should not be used without your knowledge.
