fouball help please

As a relative newbie to golf I'm still confused by this... If I use a poker chip ball marker will I gain an additional shot or concede one?!

Shot calculation the same id have thought though comp committee may choose to give ladies one or more courtesy shots - usually taken off the gents card (for SI purposes) - if there is a difference between ladies and gents SSS

Can we add the idea of courtesy shots to the mythbusters thread?

there is no such thing as courtesy shots anymore

adjustments for relative SSS can work both ways and explaining that the gents are getting shots under the banner of 'courtesy' leads to heated discussion...
When Mr mimms and I are playing matchplay on holiday, if there is any chance of the hcp adjustment going in his favour, i insist he plays off lthe back tees!

They are not a myth in 'friendly' matches against our ladies! They are very, very real.
I agree that sometimes wimmin will haggle some extra shots, but

does not constitute a "courtesy shot".

It really annoys me to hear hcp adjustments referred to this way

now that depends on who your playing with and there views on poker chip marker some will allow you a courtesy shot other will march you to the pro shop and demand you purchase a small traditional sized ball marker :D

You simply spin the wheel, red you concede, black you gain, not certain of the EGU rules clause number but I know its there somewhere, have a look and you will find it

Right, I'm playing a fouball better ball match play comp this Saturday but me and my partner are confused with how the handicap works.

Can someone give us a straight forward answer please.

Myself 13h/c
Partner 16 h/c

Against
Player 3-10h/c
Player 4- 15h/c

The rules on our website state the follwing

Four ball better ball matchplay
White Tees
Non-Qualifying
3/4 handicap difference from lowest handicap player

So what will my and my partners handicap be ?

Any help is appreciated 😆
An addendum to this...

If for any reason the 10 hcp player doesn't turn up or is late, you still calculate all shots allowed as if he were there
