Cast your minds back a month or so...

Everyone was coming on complaining of shanks!

This week everyone is shooting PBs!!

Is it the weather? Is it we all share a subconsciousness link? Is it just coincidence?

Hmm... i dont know exactly what it is but i think the weather helped me. Dry conditions even though i teed off at 7am :p
Well i am pleased with myself, and happy for everybody else :)
Whats up though, you not played well this weekend ;) :p

I shot 41 points with no blobs on Wednesday and shot 39 today with 3 blobs today!

Just seemed to me a lot of people on here shot good rounds or PBs this week.

Earlier this year a group of us were all afflicted with certain issues in the same week too.

My guess its all weather releated, from lack of practice due to the snow and now with some good weather comes practice and good scores.

[I think I need to start sacraficing goats on the 18th green then :) the other members probably won't like that though.

I think some people on this forum already have...

Reports of net 61s and alike are pretty common atm!

started with a 9 in yesterday's comp after hitting the middle of the fairway with my Drive, 2nd shot OB. found the ball but it obviously didn't like me as it lost itself on the tee shot on the 2nd in a row of large conifers.
54 first nine, 42 2nd nine. ;)

Started with a par, ended with a par, and in between was dross. :( :( :( 25 stableford points. Got the quarter finals of the foursomes this week, and not feeling confident, and could be giving up the trophy we won last year. :(

i just think people have been reaping the rewards of the effort put in over christmas in the craap weather at the range. yesturday saw my first game of the new h/c of 13, and althought i hacked big time, i was still under my h/c by 2. just need to get this draw sorted again and cat 2 here i come.....

was thinking that handicap would come down soon after hitting some form in Jan and Feb - 2 comps a week and 2 weeks ago and went up on both, played well ysterday in the rollup and hit 35 points due to a birdie on the last but don't care as it was to win the match and the sweetest chip I have done in ages - the part of my game that is weakest at the moment. Was level/ just higher tha the pin above the bunker on the right of the 18th - it is downhill off the mound and the green is downhill and sloping back to front - a delicate little chip, 5 yards on to green and then saw it track towards the hole - very easy for it to miss low as the greens were quick but it was one of those that you had faith in as soon as it hit the surface - would have been 20 feet past if it hadn't gone in because it is a really slick green. One of the most satisfying chips I have ever done - handicap can be sorted another day - it is moments like that that make this game fun!

I was happy with 37 points in the comp today (and that is over 17 holes as one is still closed while work is being completed). Pleny of pars today including every par 3 on the course (missed a 3 ft putt on the first par 3 for a birdie and some 2s club money). Only problem is that my score was only good enough for 5th when I left the club with plenty still to come in

Still got the you-know-whats at the range, so practice is limited to the driver, which really needs it and short game.

Absolutely freezing and wet on Sunday, 36 points with 4 scrubs - at least the unmentionables are currently only appearing at the range

I wondered how you'd been getting on lately Phil.

I was guessing you were scared to keep the Woodhall handicap secretary informed of your continued good scores :D
