Worlds gone mad with some of the prices people are paying for Old Ford’s.

MK 2 Mexico.Such as?
A pal of mine once had one and struggled to sell it back in the day.Nostalgia is why.
Sapphire Cosworth's were always good, especially the 4x4.
Maybe that was because back then Cossies were nicked so often that they were virtually uninsurable.A pal of mine once had one and struggled to sell it back in the day.
I think some of our unscrupulous society loved those cars.Maybe that was because back then Cossies were nicked so often that they were virtually uninsurable.
You didn’t live in Fife at the time did you?Seeing this thread makes me wish I still had one of my first cars. It was a Ford Orion Ghia with an Escort RS Turbo engine in, fake bonnet air vents, in pearlescent white paint that had a purple tinge through it depending on the light angle. Also had purple lights running along the sills on both sides that I could turn on and off with a switch in the car. Totally unreliable but was great fun to drive. Think I might have some photo's of it laying around somewhere.

No, sunny Coatbridge. It was a proper boy racer car until I hit a cat and wrecked the front bumper but couldn’t afford to get the whole car re-sprayed in pearlescent white and had to settle for basic white instead. A lad I knew had his own garage and told me the pearlescent was going to cost £600 to do or he could do it in basic white for £200. 19 year old me chose the cheaper option. You didn’t live in Fife at the time did you?
Ah. There was a guy in the village I grew up in had an almost identical Orion. RS engine and bodykit, pearl paint and UV tubes under it.No, sunny Coatbridge.
