Got some footjoy Icon shoes with the BOA lacing system as one of my Christmas presents. I like the idea of no lacing up and re-tying during a round. I like the principle of this idea

Not tried on the course yet, saving new shoes until better weather. Anyone got them or got opinions on this system. Only tried walking in house and it seems as if my heal is lifting off the sole inside the shoe as I walk. I am also concerned about thread strength. Could it break during a round for instance

I have a pair of boa Contours, over a year old now and absolutely no problems, I love them :)

I find you really need to tighten them up to feel "secure". I like them although sometimes when carrying my bag the bottom of the bag hit the shoe and unlocked the wheel resulting in a loose shoe  Overall they are pretty good but I don't see any real benefit over traditional laces and doubt whether I would get another pair.

Never liked them. Prefer old fashioned laces. Never felt my feet were ever really secured in them

I found them to be quite the opposite H.

Initially I didn't like the idea of no laces but once I had them on my feet they were superb. They never loosened for the 11months I had them. I had the FJ Sports.

The next pair of FJs I get will defo be BOA.

I had boa laces in a snowboard boot. I know others who have had the same. All lasted years with no breakages. I think the thread is up to ambling round a golf course.
I don't really see the point for golf, but am sure they are up to the task.

Just ordered my 4th pair of BOA Contours. Hate them with a passion.......................... obviously...
