My game that is :).

After trying to play to my revised handicap of 12 over the past few months it has finally happened. Things started to come together last weekend with a society outing at Longcliffe - a nice course at Loughborough. Managed to shoot 4 over net playing off dodgy society handicap of 9.

Today, finally played to handicap - in fact, Par 71, net 72, CSS 72 so no cut but it shows I'm heading in the right direction - this week at least. Plus the weather was gorgeous.

Good stuff good for you ...

Even though I've never been to Nuneaton, can you see if mine is there too, it may have run off.

Mine might just be with it , have a good look when your at it please

I've lived in Loughborough 17 years and somehow never played it either! Mate has joined there now so hoping that will change! I believe the greens are good. Good shooting for there though!

It is a cracking course you must play it - very subtle borrows on some of the greens. I did sympathise with one of our group who was on the 11th in 2 had a long put from the back which we thought was a good weight - slope took over - off the green front it went. Twice he tried to put up to the hole - twice it rolled back to his feet. On the green in 2 - 7 on the card.

Mine's left home..

It pops back occasionally for me to do its washing and cook it a square meal, then it's gone again.

In fact it popped round to see me today - it'll be back on the road tomorrow....

My swing is decidedly patchy at the moment after a decent run of form. It's not disasterous but not quite as solid as it was. Still, we'll see exactly what its like on the course tomorrow. Won't be as bad as Monday

I sold my old one for a fiver just to get rid of it. The new one has it's moments when it fancies showing it's face but most of the time it sculks around in the rough near the trees.
I'm thinking of sending in the marines but knowing my luck they will blow it up trying to get it.

Mine popped back for 17 holes in the medal tonight...........

Took a 7 on the 13th after leaving myself 120 yards to the flag, then bladed a wedge and lost the ball.....

Managed to still shoot a gross 80 (9 over) but annoyed at that one hole........still, the game seems to be coming back since I had my lies adjusted.......(hitting 700 balls at the range since last Thursday has probably helped a bit as well....)

My game reminds me of when I played Rome:Total War on my PC a few years ago.

Once a wee squadron of peasants were surrounded, they would break and run for the hills. If you didnt chase them they would stop, and slowly come back toward your legions.

You could send a single horse at 100 of them and they would scatter again! lol

Thats what my game is like, making a recovery after 3 mid 90 rounds. But I am trying to convince myself its ok, 1 bad hole could have it scampering for the hills again.
