Finally Broken 100

Had an absolutly fantasic round yesterday where I shot a 97. I have finally broken the 100 barrier.

If yesterday was anything to go by, I am hoping that by the end of the summer I will be breaking the 90 mark consistantly.

I had the best number of GIR's I think I have ever had. Only 3 jabbed it twice, approach shots from 150 Yds out were all working for me. My driving was also the most consistant it has been.

I do have to admit that this is largely down to the advise being given on these boards, so thanks very much to everyone.

How come you have a handicap of 19 if you are not yet breaking 100?

Well done. Have to admit I was a bit confused by the handicap too. Is it an official one or a society/personal record figure.

Good shooting though and hope it isn't long before your breaking 90.

Breaking a ton is a cracking feeling, I remember when I did it! The trick is to do it more often now, although you've had the weight lifted off your shoulders so not as much pressure.

Still trying to do it myself. Shot 101 during the week, very frustrating. Just marked my shots during the round, didn't count them up till I was sitting in the car afterwards. Immediately I recalled many of the wasted/bad shots I played which SURELY would have put me sub 100.

The 19 handicap was the one issued to me by the EGU last year, while they where still issuing Handicaps (To be honest considering the cards I put in I was surprised that this was the Handicap they gave me).

So this is the Handicap I currently use. Hopefully this year I will be plaing enough to justify join a club next year, and then I can get issued with a CONGU handicap that I can then work towards bring down.

Of course this year is the first year that I have been tracking the simple stats for my game, so I may have been shoting sub 100 rounds previously, but the round yesterday was the first round this year that I have shot a sub 100 score.
