They've done a couple. Very much tongue in cheek, good fun, wonderful locations (perfect for a long and miserable winter)

It's tosh, but they know that it's tosh 😂
We followed it up by watching Murder Mystery 2 the night after. Why? I don't know. It was alright though. Mark Strong is always worth watching.

Greyhound, decent enough film. What I really appreciated was that it picked its story, did not bother with any waste of time sub plots or unnecessary emotional backstory and simply started, told the story it wanted to and was gone inside 90 minutes which is a very refreshing approach at a time where 2.5 hours seems to be the minimum length for any film.

Argylle, what a disappointment. Kingsman director involved, trailer looked good. In the end it was almost like a cheesy rom com. A Kingsman made sanitised ☹. Don't bother.

We watched Dune 2 last night. Nowhere near as dull as Dune 1, but still far too long and I didn't have a clue what was going on for large parts of it. Ending clearly left open for more Dune films.

Just come back from it. Agree about the length, a decent editor could have taken that down to 2hrs no bother.

I've recently read the book and I'm pleased I had. Quite a bit of vague stuff that I understood but I don't think would be clear without having read it. I think they tried to fit everything in. They would have done better to focus on some key themes and forget the rest. You'd have had a more focused film then. Still good but not as good as the first, for me.

Spoiler below. Don't click if you want to avoid Dune spoiler

they changed the very ending, I don't know why. The book ending was enough and made more sense imo.

Also, the marriage of convenience was rushed and not well enough explained. Again, pleased I'd read the book.

just sat and watched this - brilliant film. He makes Rambo look like Alan Carr.

what happened to his dog?

According to one website the dog teleported to get away from it all.

I saw it a few months ago in the middle of the night and cannot remember.

Given there are few books in the series it would be a surprise if it hadn’t.

Read them a long, long time ago but your thoughts suggest the film remained true to the book, as that was exactly how I felt reading them. I think I’ll wait for it to see it on TV.

Wicked Little Letters.

Based on a true story of a poison pen letter campaign back in the 1920's. Really enjoyable, fantastic cast. Lots of fantastic swearing taken from the original letters!

Thoroughly recommended.
