Too difficult to pick just the one. A few that spring readily to mind:

Lawrence of Arabia
The Deer Hunter
Life of Brian
Pulp Fiction
The Big Lebowski
The Godfather 1&2
Alien
The Exorcist
Dawn of the Dead(remake)
Hot Fuzz
Shaun of the Dead

Aint read them all but My all time fave is TOPGUN, without a doubt. Infact I am going to dig out the sound track right now!

Absolute quality, sitting on top of my bunk bed with an old Atari joystick making my friend play Goose as we shot down bogeys :D

40 Year old virgin, Knocked up, Superbad, Role Models, American Pie. Saving Private Ryan, Band of Brothers, The Unit, The Hurricane, pretty much anything with Denzel Washington in. So many to list i could sit here all night!

Ah yes, TOPGUN... 1980's madness. Dreadfully dated now, yet still brilliant in the naughties. Yes great film for a feel good night in. Great soundtrack & of course Kelly McGillis.

Just saw her in another film the other night, called Ground Control, that had Henry Winkler in it too.

yup, Gladiator, how could I have missed too,

also Enemy at the Gates was very good.

Saw Top Gun recently again on TV somewhere, whilst it was iconic of its time, and entertaining in a strange way, hardly up there with real classics fella's ??
More like the usual propaganda machine for Tom Cruise

Ive done it again, Enemy at the gates is probably in my top 5! How could i miss that.

Top gun just reminds me of my youth, if I had seen it for the first time now, I would of turned it off after 10 minutes!

Seriously mate, if this is how you think of 7 year olds, you might not want to share it on a public forum! :D

ooo this will probably be disputed and I don't think it has been mentioned yet but the Rush hour films are hilarious. Number 2 is probably the best- I think Chris Tucker is a great actor despite his very limited roles.

Talking of class films for kids & for that matter big kids, there is little to beat the Asterix cartoon films. Recently got the DVD box set as I no longer use my video & so loads of really good movies I have on video lay unwatched. Great shame really. Perhaps I can get the Videos transfered to DVD.

eagle, just to prove you right, Chris Tucker is not an actor. As with lots of others (eg Eddie Murphy, Jim Carey) he is only ever one character - himself. It's like Emma Thompson - no matter what the role is you know you're in for a 10 minute speech delivered at 100 mph.

a good actor will make you forget who is playing the role and see only the character he is playing - and there aren't many who can do that.

First mention of any age, I think you're just using it as an excuse to get out of it now though :D

Atari joystick and Bunkbed may have given it away! :D
