ooo yeh
Usual Suspects
Saving Ryan's Privates
& 6th Sense is up there too.....

Slumdog is ace, very very entertaining, not sure it will go down as a classic but well worth the trip.

Love honour and obey is a classic too!

Love that film

Picking fav's is difficult, the list changes as you forget/ remember titles. For me

Outlaw Josey Wales
Farewell to the King
Silverado
Open Range (love Costner in the gunfight at the end)
Stripes
4 Weddings and a Funeral
Lord of the Rings Trilogy (extended version watched back to back)
Snatch
Man who would be King

There's more, especially when someone else posts them here and I think, Oh yeah....forgot that one :)

Another vote for Shawshank.
Plus Stand By Me with River Phoenix, and adaptation of a Stephen King short story. An understated right of passage tale that I love.

Leon.

Jean Reno is fantastic in it, Gary Oldman is wonderfully OTT and Natalie Portman, you can tell, was just destined to be a star.

There's some good choices so far in here.

I'm a sucker for the old war films. 633 Squadron, Dambusters etc.
Platoon
Black Hawk Down - the camera work and the way it was made was outstanding.
About Last Night
St Elmo's Fire
Some Kind Of Wonderful
The Breakfast Club - Got a John Hughes vibe going here!
Duel
The Hitcher

I tend to watch the same films over and over, as I know that I'll enjoy them.

Actually I do like a good war film - 633 Squadron, Battle of Britain, Ryan and his privates (shaven or not). I was watching the Cruel Sea the other night in between the sport. Another classic. Plenty of others like Carve Her Name With Pride
