Highlight of my round today?

Par 5, reachable in two; we get to our first shots and realise that not only is there a group on the green but actually another group over the dip we hadn't seen.

Waited for both sets to finish the hole before we played our second shots - lying on the grass, sunglasses on, not a cloud in the sky. Brilliant weather - could happily have stayed there even longer!

Begs the question, did you hit the green with your second shot ?

I'd nailed my drive so only had a 5 iron to the green, no choice but to wait. On a downslope though and sclaffed it, ending up short left but at least I got up and down for the birdie.

At least you enjoyed it, i was behind a 2 ball who although could only hit it 190-200 yards off the tee waited whilst the group in front cleared the green whilst they were still 250+ yards from the green then duff it 50 yards

I've decided the middle of a fairway is the perfect place to sunbathe on a sunny Saturday morning!

I have not worried about the pace of play all week. Been out on my own and if I there was a group ahead I slowed down, relaxed in the sun, chilled out on the tee box and even took my camera for a few pictures of the course and the wildlife. Nice to be able to relax to a leisurely pace in the sun every now and again

We went out early this morning and play was very slow. Our fourball let a couple of two-balls through but there was no where to go as the groups ahead were all jammed up. Everybody was very cheery though. Amazing what a decent spell of weather can do. I usually get a bit annoyed when having to wait on shots but today was a pleasure. My t-shirt tan has been well and truly toppped up. More of the same tomorrow!

We've a big shotgun start event on today so a lot of players decided not to play yesterday morning first thing. No waiting, nice and warm but that wind was tough. Really hard to score well despite it being so warm. Sadly no chance to sunbathe on the fariway but plenty of time to catch some rays patrolling the long rough we seem to have now in places

Look.on the bright side. I was out for 13 hours yesterday in the blistering sunshine with long trousers, boots and heavy body armour.

I was a tad warm and sticky. Enjoy your golf this weekend everyone, I'm working again right now. Hope you all get a dose of the shanks and sun stroke!!!!
