On talent I'd say sturridge is our best striker.
But as we're playing a pressing game with all expected to put a shift in, I'd have him nowhere near the starting 11. Just like Klopp doesn't.
Is the correct answer.

The good thing about having a number of strikers at England disposal is you have one for all occasions - Sturridge isn't "bone idle" - he scores goals , he goes down the channels and drops deep to pick up the ball - constantly making runs - just because he isn't part of a pressing game doesn't make him bone idle - Kane also does the same. But don't understand how you think he is "overhyped"
Because phil I watched him at City and he thought he was something special, he wanted the same as eastablished stars, Robinho etc. He soon went, got to Chelsea and he was the same. He is at Liverpool and not a favourite of Klopps. Will be at West Ham or Stoke at the end of the year. We have a similar player at City. He to only has one foot. Not a lover of Sturridge at all. But Lallana is playing out of his skin, he presses, tackles, does drop and pick up the ball and does something with it. Him and Vardu did a hell of a lot more up front v Spain a far superior team than what Sturridge and co did against the sweaty socks.
He left City in 2009, a fully fit Sturridge is World Class imo, unfortunately he's not reproduced the form he had with Suarez because of injuries and only scored 12 PL goals in the last 3 Seasons, maybe going to a lesser team staying fit and getting a good run of games would be good for him and England. He was at City over a decade ago now and according to this it wasn't about the money but playing time

But since coming to Liverpool he has scored goals - lots of them
I don't understand your comment about "overhype" though - he isn't overhyped - he is a very good striker who scores goals. He may not be the sort of player Klopp wants but that doesn't make him a bad player and whilst the rumours are plenty that he wants to leave - Inter Milan the latest I don't see him leaving as yet
Vardy only plays one way - one the shoulder of the defender looking for the ball in behind - if a team sits deep then he will struggle - think that was his first goal in 15 games.
Ps - so he scores goals yet it's the team making him look good because he is scoring goals ?!
And yes Rush was superb at being the first defender but then no one is comparing the two
