Some better stuff from England in the first half.
Lallana certainly looks to be the real deal, really impressed.
Shame he had to go off, not only because he was playing really well but also because it means Walcott is on again.
I want to see Rashford!!
We already know what Walcott can do ................. and that's not a lot!
Oh, and I'm really suprised Vardy wasn't sent off for that horrid tackle.

Dont know how long I have been saying this, but Sturridge is bone idle. He brings no energy to any team. The differance in Vardy up front who has more than one foot is well refreshing.
Looks like Hart is confirmed as England's no 1 for a bit

Decent performance from England, defence looks the weakest part of the team.

I thought the defence looked pretty solid for 3/4 of the game.
Not seen Cresswell before but wouldn't be sad to not see him again, both goals came through his side.

this is bull. first goal was Rashfords hospital pass to cresswell who was in miles of space only to win the ball (somehow) give the ball to rashford who then just gave it away AGAIN.. cresswell is now up the pitch (stones was suppose to be covering but again falls asleep)

2nd goal cresswell cant stop a cross coming in without fouling someone.. stones backs off.. and off and off until they score

stones is the problem

Play someone else in the heart of the defence

Did Rashford have the wrong type of studs in again?
Was on his arse more times than a 1 legged man in a leg kicking contest!

Not the strongest line ups and a shame England couldn't see it through. Hard to know what to make of it all. Not a bad audition by Southgate over four games to get the job. The defence still remains a concern to me and I wonder if Southgate will solve the problem better than Hodgson and their predecessors

Trouble is if we had won 2-0 we are going to win the World Cup again. 2-2 and we know we have problems.
Looking at the positives,
we can survive without Rooney. The sooner the better.
we can survive without the overhyped Sturridge who cannot play a pressing game. He is to bone idle.
Vardy deserves a competitive start. He offers more than Kane and Sturridge.

The good thing about having a number of strikers at England disposal is you have one for all occasions - Sturridge isn't "bone idle" - he scores goals , he goes down the channels and drops deep to pick up the ball - constantly making runs - just because he isn't part of a pressing game doesn't make him bone idle - Kane also does the same. But don't understand how you think he is "overhyped"

Red tinted glasses ahoy.
I read some stats about Sturridge the other week, it wasn't kind reading, it didn't make him appear as bone idle, more like he was deceased. Last tackle made was 5 games ago or summat lol, did less sprints than any other striker in the league etc etc.
Aye he's a half decent finisher but so what if he gives nothing else to the team.

Not sure what tackles have to do with a striker but that's what you get with stats - they can be manipulated anyway someone wants - sprints ? Someone can just sprint up and down all day long - what does that mean

Nothing to do with red tinted specs

Isn't goals a big thing to give to a team ? What else did someone like Linekar give to a team ?

On talent I'd say sturridge is our best striker.

But as we're playing a pressing game with all expected to put a shift in, I'd have him nowhere near the starting 11. Just like Klopp doesn't.
