England Golf forum

Does anyone know why there is no forum on the England Golf website, or none on any of the County Union websites, at least not on those that I've looked at?
I would have thought that the game's administrators would appreciate the views, especially those of a constructive nature, of its fee-paying members, and would also be willing to accept any criticism, in the unlikely event of something negative being posted.

Why not just email them if you have any constructive criticisms or anything complimentary to tell them?

Probably a staffing & wages issue , because it would take official moderation (they are not as lucky as us GM forumers ) & id say they would probably be inundated on a daily basis with trivial in club bickering ..

Hmmm, just had a peek, your not wrong. Obviously he wants a forum as a soap box to have a rant as they've blocked his emails :rofl:

Thats what the AGM is for... Very little, if anything, constructive comes from 'discussion' on a forum... If unhappy use the 'proper channels'...

I PM'd you to save your embarrassment as someone who casts aspersions without any basis, but as you haven't replied, I'll ask again. Who has blocked my emails? It's not England Golf (EG) or GM.
I'm not looking for a soap box, or to have a rant, it's just that I don't see any input from England Golf in response to the many good posts from a wide variety of people on this excellent forum.
It would be useful if the forum displayed an official responder from EG, not one of its aliases, to give the EG view on the more legitimate views aired on here.

The embarrassment is yours, my reply to your email was made at 15.10. Maybe you should check your emails before making incorrect public statements!

And my reply "again" was that it was "A tongue in cheek comment and a calculated guess, that's all".

Surely that route to E G is through your club through the club to your area/county union ? E G aren't going to get involved in an open forum to state or defend their point of view, especially when many on the forum aren't even in the E G domain.

Yes, not sure what rel the EGU is to me and any issues i could have with the SGU would prob be dealt with by my club?

BTW my County up here in chilly Jockoland has had it's own very well used and well informed blog site for many years.
Has caused the odd spat but generally works. The young folk love it.

There does seem to be a funny angle to this. If the OP has questions/issues with the EGU take it up with them but don't look to query their actions on here. It isn't the first EGU post so there has to be issues somewhere
