Well that is pretty much the golf season over now so time for the end of year report. How has your seaon been, better or worse than hoped or anticipated? Here are a few questions to judge your season by:

1) How many courses have you played in 2013?

2) How many NEW courses have you played this year?

3) Competition wins?

5) 2013 highlights?

1) How many courses have you played in 2013?
A disappointing 4, 3 local ones and Abu Dhabi golf club

2) How many NEW courses have you played this year?
2, local one and Abu Dhabi

3) Competition wins?
One, won the best gross in a small tournament with an 80! (one of the rare strokeplay tournaments at our club...not so popular in Germany). Won a silver dollar!!

4) Handicap gone up or down?
Down, think it started at 9.2 or something...scored that 80 in the first qualifier of the season and had high hopes. It was only downhill from there.

5) 2013 highlights?
Playing in Abu Dhabi where the tour pros go was great... representing my golf club in a tournament was great. Custom fitting at national fitting centre for Mizuno and getting myself some new irons was good. Actual golf shots... nothing of note.

6) 2013 lowlights?
Not playing so well when not representing my golf club
Not breaking 80...again... so close but so far.
Getting a 14 on the par 5 16th in our Club Championship... didn't lose a ball either!

3) Competition wins? Nothing major but a couple of society wins

5) 2013 highlights? Playing Woburn (I have wanted to play there for 10 years)

3) Competition wins? 1 - Monthly medal - Also Lowest Gross with a 77

4) Handicap gone up or down? Down 1.9 from the start of the season with a possibility of more in the annual review

5) 2013 highlights? Getting custom fit for the first time

6) 2013 lowlights? A reoccurance of an injury that hampered th latter half of my season

1. Probably about 20 but my memory is not great

2. 8 or so.

3. Mens Winter foursomes board competition. (not greensomes, mixed, seniors etc !!)

4. Up from 10.2 to 10.6.

5. Help For Heroes day at West Hill, and boys trip to St Andrews.

6. Losing at Hayling on the last hole, when partner didn't take his shots.

Only 1

Just the one but it was the Summer knockout.

Gone up 0.7

Winning the knockout.

Knocked out in the first round of the mixed.

5) 2013 highlights? wentworth, taylormade tour truck, new clubs and someone else footing the bill!

6) 2013 lowlights? not played enough, went through a horrible few months where i could only post cricket scores

Overall no new courses, I am in my second year at my new place so it feels new. I also have concentrated on my game, and seen a massive improvement in handicap and confidence.
Won a board competition by a huge margin, was embarrassingly funny, the lowest scratch score was 1 better than me, from the resident semi pro off +1.5.
The next big weekend was pro's day placed 2nd overall just missed a couple birdies and I would have wrapped that up to, but as a new member that would have been poor form.
I have been okay in medals a few 0.1s but nothing to worry about.

I have spent the last few weeks working on my swing and I am seeing some positive stuff already, my driver is staying close to the fairway, which is nice. My irons are accurate to where I am aiming, just need to eradicate the slight pull on occasions. Generally I am very happy when I am out on the course, which is the real high point

None not even close.

up uP uP 8 straight 0.1's

82 (+10) at Hollinwell so was under H/cap in one comp but non qualifier off 3/4

6) 2013 lowlights?

Playing like a plank until taking the plunge and getting a couple of lessons in august. (why oh why i didnt i do it in march)

1) How many courses have you played in 2013? Half a dozen or so. Less than 10, anway.

2) How many NEW courses have you played this year? Just the one, from memory.

3) Competition wins? 2 - shot a 75 in a hurricane in May to win by 6 and then shot a PB 71 in July to win the Wednesday medal.

4) Handicap gone up or down? Down from 11.8 to 7.8

5) 2013 highlights? Reaching single figures And playing with our club champion one week when he shot 64. Unreal.

6) 2013 lowlights? Game dropped away in the 2nd half of the season, having started off well. I blame it on getting a lesson from a different pro in June - threw my swing all out of kilter. That, and my putting. Always a lowlight.

1) How many courses have you played in 2013?not many new ones, good west hill& Salisbury and south wilts, some average that I can't recall very well and an unplayable bog in wales that held some matchplay comp apparently. Maybe 6-7 total

2) How many NEW courses have you played this year? 4 I think, west hill, Salisbury, westerham and 2010.

3) Competition wins? nett club champs :thup:

4) Handicap gone up or down? down 1.2

5) 2013 highlights? Could say the club champs but this was topped by beating a couple of choppers on the last hole at hayling

6) 2013 lowlights? non really, getting beat 4&3 in the 12 handicap and below matchplay final, but I enjoyed the company! And enjoyed the previous rounds, maybe also only shooting 36 at west hill when 40+ was on the cards (I could then :blah:like the other winners :whoo:

All in a decent year!!

5) 2013 highlights? 2 under gross, nett 7 under, inc two bogies and 4 birdies. Closely followed by a level par round at Cooden that included 7 birdies.

6) 2013 lowlights? 23 pts at Goswick...

3) Competition wins? The presidents bowl-club major board comp, tom atree trophy-club championship cat 4 gross winner and the small matter of the norman plum trophy-county competition.

4) Handicap gone up or down? Down 3.4 so far with a 2 shot annual review cut coming and 2 more qualifiers to go

5) 2013 highlights? Winning the county comp, the first time our club has won one

6) 2013 lowlights? losing the jubilee cup final to bentley Gc by 1 point
