Emergency Golf Help

anyway Tim, you hit longer than me, probably dont have a slice and not off in the 1st group unlike muggins here who will be bricking it :(

Ha! Quality G1BBO :)

That feeling will be gone by the 17th :D :p

Have a GREAT day folks... don't be shy....let's see loadsa pics and some decent match reports!!!!

did you make it? Or lay up :p

Went for it with a club that normally carries around 200 expecting it to land on the front and roll up the green. It pitched on the front and stopped within about 5' of landing.

Still, I got the first putt close enough to only take 2 more putts.

However the greens were lightning fast thats where it will be won and lost.

I'm doomed.

Ditto.

At least we get two cracks at the course, so if we baws it up the first time, we have another chance to redeem ourselves...Only trouble is, I'll probably be too knackered by then and will be swinging like a 90 year old, so I'll probably play worse. :(

I'm all packed (one tiny rucksack) and the golf bag has half a dozen new balls and a windcheater packed. One 18 hole battery cos i'm going to make it last 36 with my eco trolley driving habits.

pack of liqourice allsorts for the journey. My own pillow for the travelodge.....i'll be on my way about 6 o'clock to miss the worst of the traffic. I've just baked a fresh loaf of bread to scoff before I set off too , cya all there in the morning.

Haven't even thought about packing yet. Trolley battery on charge, and that's about it. Have put a new box of balls in the car though. Got the priorities right.

GPS charged, clubs clean enough, clothes ready, just need to find enough used-but-okay balls, there's no way I'm going to trust myself round all that deep, dark rough with new balls, well maybe one for each round.

Weather forecast looks good, mostly sunny at 16 or 17 degrees with wind at around 17 mph, just have to keep the ball below the trees.

Can't wait, meeting at McDonalds, Hemlock Way at 8'ish still?
