Emergency Golf Help

I have an important golf match in 36 hours and I need urgent help!

I think my playing partners are expecting me to be some kind of long drive expert and scratch golfer
Now where o where would they have got that impression from :D.. oh yea i remember now :D :D best of luck buddy , despite the ribbings & the banter every1 on here loves golf & will want you to enjoy it no matter what happens.. share a beer after & keep laughing ..

I would say don't put too much pressure on yourself..... whoops too late ;)

Unless you stand on the first tee and smack it 300 yards everyone is going to be disappointed.

The most important thing is that you are going to a forum meet. Just enjoy it. I've got a load of respect for you for just pitching up.

To be honest Tim, I think you're on a bit of a hiding to nothing.

If you don't hit the ball a long way you're damned.

If you do hit the ball a long way but in the woods you're damned.

If you do hit the ball a long way AND in the fairway but don't score great you'll get a lot of "told you so" .... and therefore, are damned!

Personally, as long as you're a sound bloke I don't care how well or badly you play golf :D

If you want my opinion on what to practise, I'd say mid-short irons, and putting.

Looking forward to meeting you. (Don't forget your £70 ;))

he can swap with me... how about that for an option Region3?

The problem with that is that you're in a buggy in the afternoon and I want the buggies out first as they should be quickest.

If you swap in the morning you'll have about 5 minutes to eat your lunch before you're back out again.
Plus the game you (both) wanted with full_throttle is in the morning.

It was a nightmare sorting the groups

I honestly don't mind if people want to switch around, but it has to be thought through properly.

Never seen anyone hit the back of a range with range balls, you must be averaging 300 on a course with decent balls, love to see video of your swing, what's your handicap?

I have an important golf match in 36 hours and I need urgent help!

I've been to the range of couple of times so know how to swing a club (longer than every range user I've seen), but I think my playing partners are expecting me to be some kind of long drive expert and scratch golfer (I don't know why they would think this as I'm quite new to the game and rarely been on a course).

How much can I learn in 36 hours, and what should I concentrate on?

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
