EG App Question

Can someone still use the England Golf app if they've left their golf club? I'll be playing with someone tomorrow who used to be a member of my club, but left in May and hasn't joined a new one or anything. Will he still be able to approve my card if I send it to him in myEG, or will he be blocked from using it now?

No, they can't. They have to be a member of a club or igolf.

I don’t think he can

But ask him to check on the app what it says and see if you can search for him

If you are finding an a attester the first thing you have to do is specify the club so this now comes down to whether or not the club has deleted them from their membership list.

You can do a player search on the app and see if they are still listed. One of mates left here in April but still can be found using that.

He's on my friends list and it still has our club listed as his 'home club' on his dashboard page. So potentially he will still be able to use it then?

Does it really matter if you put in a card? Technically you will be 'bending' the rules to get him to attest your score as he is not a member of a club. Unless you are desperate to get enough enough GP scores to qualify for club comps or want to lose a good score to get shot backs?

Eh? I put most of my rounds in to EG - particularly on away courses as I have a much better chance of getting my handicap lower (home course ratings are too low). The attesting bit on the app is just the admin really!
