Economic Impact on Gear manufacturers

Yes but golfers are a fickle bunch and would explain why Titleist is and has been the best selling ball in the world for many years...

Srixon AD333 has been the best selling for the past few years in the UK.

I just can not justify spending £31 a dozen on balls when for £38 I can get 3 dozen, but thats me and by no means I am against people who can afford or use them.

I am quite happy with my kit, I do need matching wedges at some point but the main thing I need to save my legs and back is an electric trolley (GoKart), but as Homer does I shall save for that and hire pull trollies until I have the dosh.

Unfortunately, the world now extends past Dover......what is sold in the UK pales (or pails?) into insignificance and if you statement is fact for the UK then the number of Pro Vs sold worldwide would be several times over that of said AD333

To be honest though, whilst I appreciate that you cannot justify the expense (bearing in mind I have no job currently) - playing with a Pro V1 will improve your game compared to any other 'discount' ball, Srixon included and goes back to the old addage of paying peanuts for monkeys....

And before you start the 'they're just as good' arguement - how many Pro's play with an Srixon let alone AD333s!!

b*%&&ks, the swing speed for activate the core is fast and most golfers do not get any benefit from it at all, yes they might be nice around the greens but as said the average golfer is wasting money on them as they are designed for cat1 players not joe bloggs thinking he is Tiger.

As mentioned above the old addage more brass na brains, I am more than happy playing with 'discount' balls if you call NXT's & AD333's discount.

And again, balls. How will a Pro V1 improve my game? Will it give me extra distance, more so than a two peice ball? Will it drop on every 20' putt?

A two peice Srixon or NXT is good enough for my game and wallett since dropping from 22-15 last season, I don't make the connection that a 3 peice ball that is over priced can do more than a two peice ball for a cat 3 player, if it was a distance ball you where talking about over a softer ball then I would agree.
