Driving ranges?

Just back from Fairways driving range, they have had toptracer put in, very impressive stuff, loads of different games to play and courses as well, when you get to the putting you have to chip towards a target.
My longest drive was only 210 yards ?

Is that with range balls though? Most are reduced distance of some description so don't be too hard on yourself. 210 and straight is better than 230 and pitching out or reloading

Went to Silvermere today as I still have money on the range card and I can hit driver there which I can't do at Sunbury. It's a nice set-up, but 120 balls in 55 minutes is hard work. I know you are not supposed to go through all of them ... but, anyway.

Turns out I can't hit balls on the range anymore, different skill to the course? After a while I got into it, hitting everything up to 7 iron well, getting on with the 6i but that's where it stops. 5i, hybrid, fairway wood and driver just didn't come together.

I went mostly for the driver as it just doesn't work on the course, and it didn't work there either. I need a lesson, or 2. There might be a couple of range balls on teh 1st fairway, for anyone who knows the setup.

Has anyone been to a Sandown Park?
Toptracer, 100 balls for £ 10 in an hour slot. Good availability, it seems.

I have driven past it on the way back from Silvermere on days I stop at Lidl, depending on traffic it is actually closer to me.
My range card at Silvermere finally ran out of money. And due to road works in lower Sunbury the SatNav always took me past Sandown Park, so today I decided to just go there instead.

You book a 30 minute or 1 hour slot, you buy your bucket of balls and go into your reserved bay, and the top tracer has full functionality. I went for 50 balls for £7 which is in line with Silveremere pricing, but 50 is enough, no need to buy all 120 balls.
And the range is NICE. Very nice, actually. Not that many useful targets for my game, but Toptracer takes care of that anyway.

I need to check out the range card options there, but might go there now when practicing, but keeping my lessons in Silveremere.

One of the places I may have got my mystery illness was the range, but I didn’t get any alerts about others and I wasn’t able to confirm.

It was either there or the supermarket...

Sunbury has rebuild their range and added Toptracer now. All mats are even and new now, all balls are new.
£10 for 100 balls in an hour seems to be the most reasonable priced in this area as well. All mats and balls are new and it was a delight to use it.
The one caveat for me is that I am not 100 % confident that my driver isn’t hitting the beam above. I am more than likely well within safety range, I just don’t know it for sure.

Back to my local range. No toptracer (can take or leave it) and not the best mats but get an hour and relatively quiet. Gets me ready enough for the weekend and can hit a ball off grass before I play on Saturday. More than enough for me at the moment
