Driving range.....y is it....

I usually have a crap shot with the last ball and think can't leave with that feeling and get another bucket.

Me too, the last is always the worst, but I never get another bucket (used to years ago). The ones between 10 and 50 are the best. Maybe I should stop at 50.

I usually peak between 50 and 60 as well. They are usually acceptable up until the 80 ball mark and then the last 20 are usually pish. Trobule is it's either a 100 basket or a 60 and the latter never seems enough time you've hit some looseners

I never hit 100 balls. Always limit it to 50 for practice.

Too many means you don't concentrate on all shots.

Quality is better than quantity.

I have to be honest and say it can take me anything between an hour and a half and two hours to hit those. I step off the mat after every shot to avoind machine gun golf (hitting one after another) and I always check my set up on each shot. I also spend time just rehearsing the swing and getting the right feeling or working on a particular drill. 100 sounds a lot but in the context of what I'm doing and working on is probably about right to get it all to fall into place (only to fall apart back on the course as normal - DOH)

I agree. Then again, everyone's concentration levels are different. I often hit 200 a day at Bromsgrove in 1993/4/5.
A lot easier than 5 hours Piano practise if you ask me.

Driving range...

Y u no make me pro golfer?

It makes your handicap worse by the looks of it.... ;)

(swing change!!)

Seriously though...I used to go round in over 100 I have now had a lesson and a swing change and I now go round even further over 100

I used to love it when I had a lesson with Dennis Newnham, the pro at Crowborough Beacon.
He would always say "right, let's finish with a good one"

He might as well have just said "shank this one into the gorse on the right"
