Driver fitting- long term benefits?

Yes 919thi 11degree.
A friend of mine had a Ping G wot ever over 45" long, and plays off 3 doesn't hit it long and grips down. Hit his good and then hit mine and walked up fairway and found he hit my driver 20yds further..... Made him think........ So he went and bought a TM R11?????? Don't figure.

I was an early convert over a decade ago. That produced a sizable improvement in both length and (after a false start that was correct for free) consistency. I've been pretty boring about getting similar feel and flight ever since, though there have been a number of experiments and 'special circumstance' changes along the way! Distance hasn't really changed much as my numbers are pretty optimised - it's the swing that's the weak area! I've actually used the current shaft in around 8 different heads! Still got a couple of 'spare' and/or experimental Drivers heads and shafts sitting about too!

Yep that's the one I've had my eye on but price has deterred me. How much was the driver including fitting if you don't mind me asking?

I bought it off eBay 2nd hand for £117 but it had the White shaft which I knew wasn't what I was fitted for. Took it to the guy and he fitted a black shaft for £75 I think, so cheaper then a new one, as I wasn't convinced of the head but was willing to try it. Been good as gold and I like the head now. I'd like to try the new 739 driver out but everyone says the 919 with the bendable hosel and hand picked driver is still the best. I also go on sound from the head, it's a thud when you get it right as opposed to some of the horrendous sounds out there from TM, Nike etc

Keep me in mind if you ever decide to move it on!

Tried a lot last year when looking for new irons and the G25 was the most consistent. I got more distance than my Burner 08 I was using but I think that was a shaft issue. My driving is a weakness and so I will always take accuracy over distance
