Hey guys,
my dad is trying to enter me in the mens 36 hole competition at my club! it is the biggest event of the year for us. Problem is i have been in a recent bad form! Very high scores. I am worried what will happen if i play on saturday! shall i just play anyway or just stop now!
BTW i ordered pink Golf Pride multi compound grips after all that deliberation! :D
thanks

PINK :o :o :o :o :D

Go and play man....The worst that can happen is you wont qualify and get a .1 increase and if anything you'll have experienceof it.

What's the worst that can happen?

I don't understand why people are worried about playing bad in a big comp, or any comp for that matter.

It's golf dagnamit :)
Get out there and play... especially before you have pink grips on your clubs!! ;) ;) :p

Pink is a good colour. Blokes who are happy with their sexual identity are ok with pink. It is those who are not sure who worry. Either that, or it's for raving woofters.

Thats the pb?? Peeps worry about a game b4 they even played it!! Talk about negative psychology!! Its a game that was meant to enjoy!! If u r relaxed u r confident and u play better !! And if u don't play good u don't care. Its a game!!!

Thats golf, come rain or sun or snow or high score or low score we love it!! Well im loves it anyways !!

Play. You'll regret it after if you don't. I've played several events including club champs where I've come stone cold last. Big deal. OK embarrasing for a few days with the banter but soon forgotten

Methinks the club championship was just a badly cloaked excuse to mention this without striking up another successful thread regarding grips (going to be screaming that in my sleep now! thanks!)

I played in Pink today. Pink hippo polo with pinstripe 'oops (think Gene Hunt).
Worked for me, clearly put my opponent off (as he was 8 down after 9!) :)
I shall wear Pink again.
