Sounds like bs to me.
It's not as cut and dried as free vets if youre on benefits.

Yes I know who they are, your quote was free pet care if you're on benefits, which is disingenuous in the extreme.![]()

Yes it's a rip off, needs regulation particularly the costs of prescription medicationTrue. Took one of ours for his annual vaccinations last night. Was in for 10 minutes. One jab (L4) and the kennel cough spray, £110. I’m sure a couple of years ago it was £60.
With our cats we bought a prescription and 3 bottles of arthritis medicine that cost just over one bottle the vet charged for one bottle.Yes it's a rip off, needs regulation particularly the costs of prescription medication
We have to get apoquele and the vets is the same , like 3 x what we can get it elsewhere, but we still have to pay the vet for the actual prescription note and then send that to the online pet pharmacist. With our cats we bought a prescription and 3 bottles of arthritis medicine that cost just over one bottle the vet charged for one bottle.
Problem is that most vets are now corporate massive companies and they charge what they like.
Just rang the vet for a new prescription and its £57 for a health check a blood test on top then the prescription cost and on top of that they charge £7 per tablet on top of that ! How did she qualify? The PDSA were great for my mum. Whilst she didn't have to pay for the treatments, they always advised a reasonable donation cost for any procedure...
She used to always pay more than the proposed donation amount but it was obviously much less than a vet practice would've charged.
My mum was a pensioner and on benifits.. She would've been about 69 when she used them..How did she qualify?
Great she got some help.My mum was a pensioner and on benifits.. She would've been about 69 when she used them..
Thanks mate. Her dog was her life after my dad passed. It was a really sad day when we had to get her put down.. They were very good though..Great she got some help.
My brother (sadly gone) had a cat that some low life shot managed to get free treatment at PDSA.
