I use castle tees as I can (nearly) always get my tee height right. I use the Orange plastic tees for my driver. Recently got a new bag of Orange tees. Just realised that there is a few mm difference between the Orange tee that I got from the Pro shop and the Golf Locker ones.. Would never have realised it, till I put them next to each other.

Would being off by a few mm matter?

I wouldn't have thought so myself.

I use 2.3/4" wooden tees for all my shots I just push it into the turf further for the different clubs.

Tee height is important IMHO, but doesn't have to be exactly accurate every time. So long as the ball sits in the right position to suit your eye, that's all that matters.

LOL, this has to be the most mundane banal thread............today:rolleyes:

/no offense

God they look massive , I went thru a stage last year of thinking about different types of tee , then just decided sod it!!! Peg it up and whack it deffo works for me now

yes, but you aren't going to be 'off' by a few mm just because the height of your castle tee is a few mm different

putting this another way, just because you hit one bang out of the centre of the clubface once of a 26mm tee doesn't (unfortunately) mean that if you use the same tee the next time you will also hit it in the same spot!!!!

I think orange tees are too high, your driver can go right under them. Pink castle tees are lower and you can not go under them, much reducing damage to the top of your club.

Just looking at the picture, it looks like the bottom of one of them (the old one) is worn, so it would have been the same height in the first place?

To go to the old guide of having half a ball above the head.. The orange one gets it up there for my manly Nike Covert driver.
One of my playing partner uses a Pink castle, which works for his Ping..

.. Real men use Orange..

Would need to get the callipers out to get a real sense of the difference. ;)

Not every tee box is the same. You are probably experiencing a few mm difference every time you tee up the ball due to ground level etc anyway. If truly concerned about the discernible between those two tees then you are worrying about the wrong area of your game.

As there looks to be about 1 mm difference between the tees I think it's time you invested in one of these to ensure your on the flattest, level part of the tee box you can find.
