Do you still go to your club in winter?

Due to poor weather I haven't played golf for a month or so now. During that time I don't go into my club, I don't use it for social purposes.

I get the impression that many on here use their club irrespective of whether or not they play. Who uses their club socially even if you are not playing? What entices you in?

Playing winter league most weekends. Two games this one, and also going to a steak night on Saturday. Last couple have been great, but got a dodgy forumer and his much nicer other half coming to this one.

Is that knife and fork lessons so when you eat your meals there you don’t use your fingers? ;)

Haven’t touched a club since mid August due to health reasons. However, when I am feeling ok I still go up the club for a sausage sarnie and coffee and a chat with mates. After being off work for 4 months visiting the club occasionally keeps me sane.

Hope your getting stronger every day. Don’t know your issues but knew you weren’t keeping great.

I'm at my club probably 3 to 4 times a week on average and, in winter, most of those without setting foot on the course.

Go for a coffee or lunch if I'm working from home and play when I can in the winter and get out for a few holes at night as much as possible during summer.

Loads of mates there who enjoy having a beer or two  so often head round just for a couple of pints and/or some food.

I very rarely go to play golf never mind anything else , i reckon it's cost me a £100 per round this year due to lack of time to play.

Never really go to the club just to socialise. My local pub is 500 yards from my front door so that is always going to be my first port of call. Have occasionally been to my new club for a bite to eat if passing. Would never have done that at my old club as would not meet the dress code as I am generally in jeans and trainers.
