• We'd like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Holidays and a very Merry Christmas from all at Golf Monthly. Thank you for sharing your 2025 with us!

Do you leave the cellophane on the legs of a new golf bag?

Do you leave the wrapping on?

OK, I voted no, but then started to feel guilty, as I was stocking my new Vessel Player V bag and noticed I haven't removed the protective film from my serial number plaque and not sure if I want to now.

Might start a poll...

Got any pictures of your 12 year old golf bag? How many species of fungus grow on it? 🤣
Ooh, thank you for taking such an interest.

It is in the loft as a storage unit for clubs. Clean as a whistle as it always was. Saw a lot of action and just got worn out with bits falling apart.
Arrow points to it at the back.

They should see me out.

I'd have to check my bag. I did leave them on for ages and everytime I notice I say to myself must take them off

Can't remember if I have yet tho , only 10 months

Are the yes voters the same people that leave the stickers on the shafts of new clubs.
Ah, now what about second hand clubs? Because my 3W still has a sticker that says "£40" on it! Maybe if I took it off, it would behave better as it knew it had a permanent home?

All packaging & P.O.S materials needs to be removed, whether its cellophane, film, labels, tags, stickers or just barcodes.

We were taught at school to mock the kid who forgot to take the stickers off the soles of their 'start of term new shoes', some lessons are for life

That.... or worse knowing its secured its place in your bag regardless of performance!

But most of them are a pain to get off and leave a sticky residue that then just collects dirt and fluff 🤬
