Do you cook?

Take my turn as and when , normally when HiD is on a long day.

Pretty much simple fair but my chocolate fridge cake ( known in our family as Splodge ) is a winner

Since I changed my diet pretty drastically last year I do the majority of the cooking. Main staple will be a nice bit of cooked fish, roasted veg (usually sweet potato, parsnip, carrot, courgette) and some home made basil pesto but have to admit to being rather partial to a nice bit of grilled Sirloin too :) Tbh as long as its fresh food (mainly fish/meat/veg) and not processed then I will try most things. Also make a mean curry

Being single I do cook and enjoy it.
It could be a Sunday roast, a curry, chilli, spag bol, steak pie, chicken, sweet and sour etc, and my chocolate brownies aren't too bad either.
Apparently, some people need Aunt Bessy to help them cook

Yes I cook the majority of the time as I'm better at it than HiD.

I can do a mean Green Thai Curry, an Orange and Lime Salsa, Pork, Apple and Cider, my last venture into the kitchen to make something planned was steak and ale pie, though I have to say the Chilli's I make are pretty damn good.

I make my own Chilli paste from Chilli's I grow and last year made a Chilli Chutney which over the past year has matured into something akin to the blood from Alien, in that I'm sure if you dropped some it wouldn't stop burning a hole till it got to New Zealand.

I call one of my Chilli's my Boiler House chilli after the boiler maker drink, the steak is cooked in beer and then once added to the mince and other ingredients I add a shot of Jack Daniels.

Sadly I am the cook. As Bob alludes to I can make a mean yorkshire and cracking roast spuds so long as my Aunt Bessie helps me!

I have made some good flapjacks for the course and currently perfecting a version with oats, protein powder, runny honey and peanut butter - but without actually cooking them :-)

I have a fantastic wife who has kept me fed and watered for many years for which I am very grateful. I can do the basics so won't starve if chef goes AWOL but I do find it stressful and make a right royal mess most of the time

My GF is not even allowed into my kitchen, I cook everything.

There's a touch of the marco Pierre white about me.

For anyone up north, there's a butcher in bamburgh that simply does the best steaks known to man. I do a 120 mile round trip for this butcher.

I've always been the cook - if I was (am) there I cook(ed).

Reasonably confident cooking anything from 'high french' to fusion, Bengali curries to med mezes.

Speciality is 'camp cooking' a la Keith Floyd, Hairy Bikers etc

What's his bacon like? I canna find decent bacon anywhere, tried farm shops all over the place and they all have that bloody awful white gunk that oozes out when cooking.

The butcher up Corbridge was good for a while but even his is now full of water.

No water/gunk comes out of his bacon. It's proper bacon!

His pork pies are something else too!
