Batch cooking for the freezer

Personally I prefer to cook from scratch.

So do I. But when younger son has to be in the next town over (25 minutes away) for his half hour guitar lesson at 4-45pm on Tuesday and then at rugby training back in our town at 7-30pm, while the older son has to be at his hour long football training at 6-30pm it's nice to have some easy meals in the freezer that can be taken out and microwaved for a relatively healthy tea rather than filling them up on crap and snacks. Especially if I'm offshore and Mrs Colch has to do all the running about by herself.
