I always thought it was referred to as The Osborne Bull referring to the brandy producer. There are almost a 100 seen on many hilltops in Spain. An iconic bull

The avatar is a photo of The Sir John Barrow Lighthouse, built 1850 on Hoad Hill overlooking the town of Ulverston which is where I play my golf.

Think the nickname needs an explanation now

My name is Simon.
At school it was shortened to Si ...................... I hated that and let it be known!
It was then lengthened st Sime ...................... I hated that also and let it be known!
It was then adjusted to Slime ......................... I just gave up complaining, but it's far better than Si.

Dabbled in music over the years. Only decent at violin and mandolin. Spent a little time playing clawhammer banjo....but couldn't stand the constant tuning for different songs. Little bit of guitar, but haven't carried through with that.....or the ukulele. Actually need to sell the mando since I don't think I will go back to that seriously again. In my cricketing days my best mate (no longer with us ) from the West Country used to call some people Cackpiece. We then adopted this, and he became Cack and I was Piece.

Many years ago I was trialing Srixon Z stars and shot under par around the time that I joined the forum. Hence my user name.
The avatar came from a golf tournament in the USA. We were on a family holiday in Florida in 2008 when the World Golf championship was being played at The Doral near Miami. I went to watch on the Sunday. Whilst I was stood behind a par 3 green watching Tiger’s group a chap came up carrying a bag, the guy wearing the ‘T’ t-shirt in the photo. He pulled out all the red shirts you can see and said anyone want to wear one of these. He stipulated that he was having the ‘T’. We all picked one and stood in a line spelling out Tiger. The press cameras went mad and all focused their cameras on us. I think we were on TV too. When Tiger went past he didn’t give us a second glance. I copied the photo from the front page of Tiger’s website when I returned home. It was on there for about five years. I am the one wearing the ‘I’.

Called Charlie but for some reason online use Chico. My avatar was just the boring initial thing for ages so I decided to change it. I started looking through my photo gallery on my phone to find a picture of a loved one.

Someone explained to me they had developed a bad dose of the Sherman's and even after a lesson he still had them. I had a game with him and he was hitting a Jodrell evey other shot. I saw what he was doing and gave him a swing thought that fixed it but in doing got infected my self and a 'Socket Rocket' started to appear now and then . When signing up it was on my mind. The aviator was me on a par three hoping this won't be another.
