We only have men's friendly matches, seniors and Mixed. I try and play a few friendlies - last year we really struggled to get a team but this year the new captain has done an online spreadsheet of all matches and they are all looking oversubscribed - I have put my name down for a few. We play Parkstone, The Wisley, Burnham, Woburn, Stoke Park, Hindhead, Worplesdon and West Hill

Played lots of team golf, from juniors up over. Not played for the seniors yet but I'm of that age now. Still working so it may have to wait.

Thoroughly enjoyed it down the years, especially when it gets to the gritty end of season matches and the teams have had something to play for.

Played against Lymm in a North Cheshire League final, crikey must be 10 years ago. Singles match play, both of us off 5. I was 5 under after 7 and 6 up. I had so much luck it was unreal. Stroke index 1, a par 4 towards the clubhouse on the front 9. It had a big dip in the green. I was one side of it, with the hole the other, about 30 feet away. BANG - birdie and 4 under. The next hole is a par 3, played away from the patio of the clubhouse and across a pond. Caught an 8 iron really heavy but finished within a quarter inch of the hole - it landed short but with no spin on it, and bounded up to the hole. Halved from there to finish 6&5. Team lost though...

I play for our club's Seniors and Foxes (mid handicappers) teams. Generally this gives me a chance to play other courses and to make new friends for the cost of a meal They are in theory friendlies, but quite competitive in practice. Good fun!

Play in various team matches.

We have a scratch team ( don't play in ), handicap team and friendly matches team. Also play for the over 55's team in County Winter League matches and also County team games ( for £15 we get 3 meals and 27 holes of golf ).

Love the cut and thrust of match play and catching up with old friends from other clubs as well as making new ones . Enjoy both the Brunch and more traditional , jacket and tie for a meal after matches equally.

We are going for more smart casual these days, although this depends on the dress code of the home club! I had to wear a suit and tie for most of my working life, so would rather not have to do so now I am retired. 😀

Well after being asked to play in the A team on Tuesday, I've now played in every club team for my club other than the Scratch & Ladies teams, so I'm not quite sure which will be my next achievement 😜🤔
