Golf away days (club members)

Was wondering how often other club members play away from their own clubs?

I play on average once a month away from home.

Be that society days, a golf trip or catching up with a mate.

I've played over 20 courses this year but quite a few were on trips where I played a few courses so don't know whether the trips count as once or once per day or once per round.

Less than once a month for me, so I haven't voted.
It's generally 3 or 4 courses over the course of a few days away once a year.

Since April 21 when I started to keep a record of all my golf, just over 50% of rounds have been at my own course. Away rounds are a mixture of holidays (min 2 a year), opens/county events, club matches and the odd away day.

I play with friends some of whom I have known since I was in the Cubs many years ago. Since then we have all gone our separate ways but we still keep in touch and play a rota of all our courses once a week. These range from Blairgowrie in the North to Dunbar in the South and several in between.

I think I've played 7 rounds so far this year away from my home club....so less than once a month for me (and 5 of those rounds came in the space of 1 week!!....and the other 2 were at the same course)

Next year will be more as I'll have more spare time, so might put my name forward for some of the Senior friendly matches as well as searching out rounds elsewhere....maybe play in some of the opens around Suffolk.

I probably average 1 a month....not often more and often less...all depends on what's going on.
Now I've joined the same Society as Fragger it may increase.

So I guess it's around 3 in the good months, 1 in the bad months.

I'm probably in the low to mid teens on this one so ticked once a month. It isn't once a month though, it's largely consertinad between May and September.

It's a big part of golf for me. Keeps me fresh playing different courses and the social side is fun.
