Phoenix nights was brilliant.
But his live stuff is milked. Probabaly 90 mins in 5 hours of live shows. Don't know a comic who repeats his material anywhere near as frequently.

So you don't think that shouting garlic bread every 2mins isn't hilarious?
I rememeber chuckling at it the first time I heard it. Maybe even the second. But like all his acts. Soon got tired.

Whether it's my type of humour or not I'll doff my cap to any Comedian who manages to nail it at some point with something original in their career,Gervais has done it with The Office/David Brent, we wouldn't be talking about him otherwise.
Comedy moves quickly, it's got to be tough to keep progressing with material that's funny and original.
