Sherlock was superb against Suljovic, hes as annoying as hell how he plays.

I had a 5er on Sherrock 3-1 + 3-2 @ 16s ?

The crowd booing Suljovic is bang out of order imo.

The crowd booing is not ideal but has always been a part of the sport.

Eric Bristow always replied any time he was asked that his favourite matches were playing Jocky Wilson in Scotland. The crowd always gave him pelters and he loved it, and he won more than he lost, even against Jocky.

I get that but theres got to be a bit of respect/order when it comes to the action

The Fallon story is over. Chris Dobey played superbly, ton+ average despite having real struggles on the doubles early on. Fair play to Fallon though, her finishing is unreal, took out so many pressure ton+ finishes and two darters, very very impressive. Great game, played at a lovely pace. Looking forward to Durant-Dobey in the next round, should be a fun game.

Dobey played really well especially losing the first set against the darts. Great scoring and in the end a deserved win. Really enjoyed how well Fallon has played in the worlds especially beating a top player and hope she gets more opportunities to battle the men

chance that doesnt go ahead isnt it ?

sold 15% of the expected tickets having changed the venue, told the players prize money is being reduced (but not what to)

Prize money has been cut in half down to £8k for the ladies, £150k for the men. Sherrock has already pulled out after being given a spot in the World Series (as well as a spot as one of the Challengers in the PL), imagine she won't be the only one to pull out.

So pleased for Peter Wright. Played absolutely superbly last night backing up his excellent performance against Price. MvG missed some massive darts, couldn't believe he missed 6 at a double in one leg, not like him at all. Excited for the Premier League to start, going to follow it properly this year and have tickets to go and watch the Manchester week, should be good fun. Fantastic World Championships this year, enjoyed every match I watched, the standard was superb, great entertainment as always.

Not sure how long the BDO can really carry on with limited prize money, lack of exposure etc. The trouble is not everyone can play the PDC and where does it leave lower league darts such as superleague and county events. Darts like all sports needs grass roots participation, especially with more and more pubs no longer having a board or closing down

They'd be better off running it as an amateur organisation, the best of amateur darts. For all intents and purposes they have lost the battle with the PDC regarding professional darts. The Lakeside World Champs with its TV coverage was the last stand. Now they have moved away from one and lost most of the other they may as well change it to the World Amateur Championship.

Why have they moved away from the Lakeside? That was the tournament's USP.

I think the press guff said something about taking it to a London venue to enable the event to grow.

The alternative view is the BDO are yet another organisation not fit for purpose lol
