Hi,

I'm looking to get custom fitted in the new year and can't decide where to go.

I'd be grateful to hear from any forum members that have used either of these. I've heard a lot of good things about Taylormade at Wentworth, but can't find many reviews of Tour59.

I'm pretty sure that I'm gonna go for Taylormade equipment, so I think it would make sense to go to Wentworth....but......I like the idea that Tour59 are independent and can recommend equipment from other manufactures that might be better suited to my game.

Cheers

if you want custom fit then I dont think you can beat these guys...... http://www.precisiongolf.co.uk. I wished I had gone to them instead of the distributor as I could have tried ALL the brands.

I've heard good things about the above but Golf Principles is supposed to be really good as well. The guy here was at Wentworth I believe and broke off to do his own TM custom fitting. Based in Basingstoke and very reasonably priced.

I got fit with Jason at golf principles. Very knowledgable and great service. Usually does lots of TM players, recently had Paula Creamer there before the Open :)

Hi,

Thanks for the responses so far. If I'm gonna get fitted, I want to be able to see the ball flight which you can do at Wentworth and The Grove (also hitting of grass range here). I'm not keen on hitting into a net.

I'm hoping that there might be a few forum members who have been to see Jon at Tour59 and could give some feedback....

hi

I have been to tour 59 a few times. You will see john, who runs tour 59 and performance golf studio. he gives one of the best services i have had. He will fit you to what ever make of club you are looking for, but he will give you a lot of advise on other equipment that could work better for you and give you better results. He will also help you with your swing if he thinks it could help with the fit. i have been to a lot of fittings and got to say you will not find a better place for help and price. Plus they have just open a indoor fitting studio called performance golf studio in lower kingswood, near walton heath golf club. They have all the makes in demo to try with bays with 2 different launch monitors. You should with out doubt look at the website, plus only £50 for an hour. I hope that helps you.
