Right folks, it's my birthday coming up and HID has offered to get me custom fit for a new driver

So before I just do the obvious and head up to AG at Braid Hills, can anyone recommend anywhere in Edinburgh, or the surrounds, where I can be sure they'll do it properly?

Thanks

Had a custom fit from Scott Gourly at Craigmiller Park after a recommendation from a forum member, very pleased with him and I would highly recommend.

I've heard that the Titleist custom fit centre at Kings Acre is very good. However I'm not sure if they deal exclusively with Titleist or whether they can provide a custom fitting service for other clubs as well. It might be worth a phone call.

think the clue is in the title :p

worth noting that as good as Scott Gourlay is you'll be hitting into a sheet so wont see the ball flight but trackman will 'work out' the flight. Just pointing out as some people need to see the flight

Aye but the American Golf discount centre disnae just deal exclusively with american golf discounted gear now does it?!

;)

Scott gourlay done 90% of the fitting on the trackman, then once we had the club settled on he let me hit a few shots on the course next to the bay, no sure if he would do this with a driver though, personally I'd forget american golf, if either this guy or titleist were available. In fact I'd forget American golf full stop,,lol.
Do kingsacre not cater for cobra aswell?? Im sure they used to.

The Taylormade fitting centre isn't too far away at Linlithgow. Like Titleist though, they'll only fit you with their own brand.
Both TM and Titleist need to be booked through an approved stockist, and you'll be charged a fee of around £45 for the fitting which you don't get back if you buy the club.

I bought a driver, 3 wood and 2 wedges from the titleist fitting centre through Nevada bobs in Perth last year and the price of the fitting was taken off the clubs. The £50 I paid Scott gourlay was also taken off the clubs as I purchased them from him.

Very good set up with Scott that can't be denied.

Just make sure you get what you want.
