Good morning one and all..

Can one of you invent an alcoholic drink that doesn't give a hangover??

I've got a minging hangover - I feel like someone's running over my head in a land rover and the only thing I want to eat is greasy rubbish.

When I was young my hangovers lasted about five minutes, now they take about a week and a half to go!!

Someone help me please..

Just don't stop drinking. Then you don't get one.

Other than that, it is the usual, drink a pint of water before bed time, and another when you get up. And steer well clear of whisky or port.

I had the mother of hangovers a few years back.I was working on a doctors surgery at the time and I asked him what was good for a hangover. He told me that if I could manage to drink a pint of water or squash before bed I would never suffer bad hangovers again. I now put a pint at the side of the bed before I go on the raz and drink it before collapsing in a heap. It has worked ever since. Give it a try next time.

Dunno about you lot, but I put on a pair of 'pre-xmas' jeans for the first time today, and whilst I got them on, the pressure around the tum was something I haven't suffered for years, and the waistline overhang was huge.

So drastic measures are called for.

I've gone nearly 45 hours without a drink. Stage one achieved - the first 24 hours are the toughest. The 2nd 24 hours are worse, and then it all goes downhill after that.

Stage two is to go throughout February without a sup.

But I've got a bottle of Chardonay in the fridge unopened.

Anyone going to give me odds that it's still there in a months time ?

back when I was on a commando helicopter squadron, the squadron doc used to hand out ibuprofen before a run ashore.

the clearer the liquid the less viscous the hangover
port, red wine, guiness = bad
white wine, vodka, lager = ok

not so sure about this, I always though it was the fewer chemicals the better, lager is almost all chemical.

but for the real killer hangover from hell nothing beats farm brewed scrumpy!

I can relate to this.
I sort of remember a very good session down in cornwall about 25 yrs ago that ended with me sleeping it off in a cell

Smiffy....you do know this is non-alcoholic dont you? It doesnt really get you drunk old fella ;)

Got some of that Keef. And very tasty it is too.
But my worst handgovers have been caused by Jack Daniels or Scotch. I steer clear of the Scotch nowadays, but JD is always calling.
I went on a bender on it in Spain once, completely missed out on the Saturdays game, spent the whole bloody day in bed...
