Course ideas under £100

Hi all.
I am looking for a place to play on monday 16th April and hoping some of you may know some hidden gems. I have been googling etc and looking for a good deal but I know this forum can be very useful!
Hoping to book a round on a good course, ideally with a decent clubhouse and maybe a bit of history, within 2 hours of oxford for under £100.
Any advice or ideas will be greatfully received.

Not everyone rates it, but you could easily get the Brabazon at the Belfry within your price.

Stretch it to 3 hours and you can get a day ticket at Wallasey for £100 or £90 a round.

Not everyone rates it, but you could easily get the Brabazon at the Belfry within your price.

Its a good shout but I live 5 miles from there and played it before and playing there on 4th march. Was looking for somewhere a bit more 'special' as its a birthday treat.

West hill would be £95 in April, ferndown, broadstone, parkstone all under £100. Hayling. Blackmoor. What about beau desert/little Aston ?

Hayling is a good shout. Think we may go with that.

In this area, I would add my name to Beau Desert, the course is superb and is heathland so drains well and very interesting greens. Clubhouse is okay, not one of those wonderful looking ones sadly, it does hold the England Golf Logan Trophy. They do cheaper 4ball deals:-

Huntercombe, Beaconsfield, Berkhamsted, Ashridge. All very nice courses and under £100

I would suggest St Georges Hill, lovely course big old style club house and i think its about £100 a round in April and just about in your travel range

If he stretches it to 3hrs he could do Royal North Devon or Saunton

If you want links, you can get to Burnham and Berrow in 2 hours. Royal Porthcawl is also in range...but not sure when the prices go back up..

Otherwise, all the sand based places mentioned elsewhere are all good
