As much nonsense as the OP I'm afraid. What is it with people and conspiracy theories?
THAT much money corrupts. There will be things in that contract or unspoken things in the Rory/Nike deal which are not in the best interests of sporting integrity, or the best interests of golf, or the best interests of Rory, who has taken the deal first and foremost for the money, with sporting excellence being a welcome but secondary consideration.
Of course it may well be a straightforward case of ' here's £60million and all you have to do is wear our clothes, play our balls and clubs, carry our bag and say nice things about us when asked and we won't bother you again until we come to renew the deal' What I am saying is that Rory is now part of Team Nike.He is an employee and if he wants to keep his job he has to perform, first and foremost, and he has to bow to the boss now and again.
HE is at the top of the game, or very close to it. And he changes the vital tools that got him there. Tools that golfers at every level become very intimate with. Go figure.
