There is usually a Group of 12/15 when there is no Comp which was the case yesterday.Usually play Stableford

Only 5 turned up with one guy off +1 and the others between 10/13.

The +1 said' Let's play skins' which we did all off level handicap. Obviously he was putting for birdies on every hole where pars were the norm for us. Felt he had a great advantage.

Whilst I am sure 'skins' is not recognised do you play off 3/4 handicap to the lowest or otherwise?

I was not moaning merely passing a comment. I fully realised what was happening hence the comment conned or not!

Thanks for all your comments! There were 5 playing and I DID NOT lose money to the +1 handicapper.

I knew I had been conned when I made the post otherwise I would not have shared my problem.

Whilst I am sure we all have opinions it is necessary to know the whole facts before jumping to a conclusion.

I don't think you have been conned mate. You had all the facts before the decision was made. +1 hcp wants to play against higher hcps, off scratch, for money.

It's pretty clear what was going to happen so you and the other golfers just made a poor decision, no conning.

More importantly though, did you have fun?
