Anyone got anything to say about the Masters?
I saw a stat on BBC that shew Bubbas scoring in his time at the Masters Par 3 and 4's he was over par then Par 5's he was about 45 under par, this goes to show what Poults was saying about it being won on the Par 5's
Its a bombers course and most of the other big hitters were poor which made it a non event in the end.
What Bubba (and Rory) did on the 13th par 5 booming it over the trees and flicking a wedge in was spectacular. I guess that route will need to be addressed at the Green Jacket committee meeting asap.![]()
- The Masters remains an idiosyncratic, but spectacular test of golf
- Bubba's driving was an excellent exhibition of the art and he also showed an improved level of composure in major competitions
- McIlroy showed he can grind it a little better than previously thought and not rely totally on streaky play. Needs to employ this on the par 5's and greens to win on at Augusta though. Think he will though in the next 3 years.
