Comments on the Masters please

Didn't see much of the masters due to being away but I have just been reading the GM stuff and came across the article describing how Rory was beaten by his marker, a 51 year old amateur member at Augusta, who shot 70 to Rory's 71 and this part from the article stood out...

"Knox is an experienced marker in the Masters, although the club requested he not speak to the media after today’s round"

Just exactly how much further up their own [mod edit] do Augusta National really want to get? Where's the harm in him talking to the media?

Sounds like he should've been playing in the event proper!

What do they expect he would have said if the media had spoken to him?

I thought it was a great story, McIlroy spoke enough about the guy and was very nice and gracious about him - not like it's anything new - he's been doing it for last decade and more when needed and apparently has scored better than half the pros he's played with.

And if he's a member of Augusta National I'd reckon he neither needs or wanted a media frenzy over him

Why the Kung Fu kick after driving off with Palmer & Nicklaus? We all know he's fitter than them, but why does he have to remind tham & rub it in like he did.

P.S. I didn't miss Tiger Woods, but I ALWAYS miss Payne Stewart, what a sad loss to golf ..................... even after all these years I still iss watching him play & listening to his interviews.
 
I thought it was a wonderful tournament won by the best golfer over 4 days.

Really enjoyed every minute of it.
