Come on Europe!!

they've just announced that they've changed the format to avoid having to play Monday.
Still 28 matches but now everyone plays in every session, so no leeway for Monty.
they were a bit quick with the detail but it seems that there are more foursomes, still got the 12 singles.

Still the same number and types of matches to be played, but adding half each of one sessions matches to 2 other sessions so tomorrow there'll be 6 matches out on the course am & pm instead of 4.

Not a great evening session and a bit reminiscent of an England cricket team going out for a short last spell and losing three or four quick wickets. The momentum has definitely swung towards the US and being 2 up in the matches they are winning is going to need a fast start from Europe tomorrow. I think if we get 2-2 out of it we'll have done well

What a differance a day makes weather wise!

Looking forward to a day on the hoy watching it all unfold.

About time Harrington showed up,seems to have lost that form he was supposed to have found.

If we can get out with a 2-2 I would take it now.

and they were pars Algar, didnt make a birdie all round. not sure fisher has the short game to survive some of the spots he'll find himself in later either

The one thing Faldo got right was picking Poulter, although as a team we were rubbish

If Paddy and Donald play tosh all weekend, but Europe win, does that make Monty a success or a failure ?

:D

It's looking good a.t.m.

I turned it off after Rory's tragic shot on the 18th (following Cink's amazing putt on the 17th).....and have just come back.

I was playing down the road from the Celtic Manor on Thursday, and it was quite dark by 6.30pm.

Sterling effort from the boys. Let's hope it continues in the morning.

Personally, I think the score has flattered the Yanks so far. Cink holing from everywhere, Stricker's flukey chip in etc. all adding to that edge which is so decisive in matchplay.

Session 3 the Yank putts stop draining, Europe start sliding them in where previously they were cms short/wide and all in all I think we're in for one hell of a day tomorrow.

It's the best golf tournament to watch bar none so let's see it back in September please so we don't lose play again!

I love the way both sides have a 30-40 minute period where everything goes and then they can't buy a winning shot. Great to watch but not so good on the nerves of the viewing public. Can't imagine what it must do to theirs

What a day for Europe!!!

All this pish about Molinari had to be a pick cos he and is brother would be a great team is looking like being just that...pish,I said it at the time that winning the World Cup end of season jolly is a totally different ball game to the Ryder Cup and both of them have been found wanting and how can someone who hits the ball so well putt like a total ***?They did well to salvage a half granted, but it really should have been a win.

I would go as far as saying you can write them of as losses tomorrow but can we get 5 wins?? I think so.

Come on!!!!!! :D

Un-frikkin'-believable.

To start with all blue was one thing, but to end with 5.5 out of 6 is just extraordinary.

Brilliant effort, great balls and just top notch. And this was with the Yanks playing pretty bloody well too.

Just hope we go on and finish the job tomorrow.

Come on boys!

Stunning afternoons viewing. As dodger says elsewhere, move the tee up on 18 for the final day and then we'll see some fireworks.

Just trying to work out how I keep up to speed on it all tomorrow.

What a bizarre singles strategy by Pavin....Woods and Mickelson kinda hidden away in the middle. We can't not win I feel after seeing the singles line up.
