Are special grips required?
I was looking at a 5 wood but don’t have any other cobra clubs, so not too fussed about the sensor.

No if you just buy the tags they screw in the top of the grip but the f8 irons has them pre fitted as we'll as there drivers and woods will have a different type of top bit on the grip, first pic is the f7 driver pre installed second is just a putter that the loose tags would go

So does the sensor just fit in a normal grip then if added as an extra?

Aye you get 14 tags and a couple extras that just screw in like the below pic

All f8 clubs have sensors built in to the grips. If you buy a set of 8 irons you also get 6 screw in sensors including one for you putter.

I ended up up ditching the grips and going back to my shotscope v2 as the arccos system was missing too many shots. Also I hated having my phone in my pocket. Arccos are working on a small gadget to replace your phone to pick up the shots.
